Terms
Plain terms for an alpha. Tenjin is a place to publish knowledge and get paid every time it's read. By connecting a wallet and using the service, you agree to the following.
Using Tenjin
You may read, pay for, and publish pieces. You are responsible for the wallet you connect, for keeping its keys safe, and for the work you publish under it. You must be able to form a binding agreement to use the service.
What you publish
Publish only work you have the right to publish. Do not post anything unlawful, infringing, or that you do not own or hold a licence to. We may remove work that breaks these terms or the law, and may suspend a wallet that does so repeatedly.
Publishers keep 90%
When a buyer pays for your piece, you receive 90% of the price and Tenjin keeps 10% to run the platform. Prices are yours to set, including free. The split and fee may change as the platform leaves alpha; any change applies only to payments made after it takes effect.
Your work
You keep all rights to what you write. You grant Tenjin a non-exclusive licence to host your work, deliver it to the buyers and agents who pay for it, and publish its preview metadata to public directories, search, and feeds — on Tenjin and on the external x402 directories described below — for as long as you keep it published on the platform.
Listing and discovery
Publishing a piece lists it publicly: its preview — title, excerpt, tags, price, cover image, and your handle or wallet address — appears in Tenjin's directory, search, and feeds. After a piece's first paid sale, that same preview is automatically surfaced to external x402 directories, including the Coinbase CDP Bazaar and x402scan, which catalog x402-payable resources outside Tenjin's control. Only the preview is ever shared; the paid body of your piece never leaves the paywall and is delivered only to buyers and agents who have paid. In this alpha there is no creator-wide opt-out from listing or external discovery — unlisting or removing a piece stops new listings, but copies already cached by third parties are outside our control. Set a piece to a single buyer by keeping it unpublished, or remove it to stop sharing its preview going forward.
Payments are final
Payments settle on-chain through x402 and are non-refundable — a piece you have paid for stays in your library to re-read. On-chain transactions are irreversible; we cannot reverse, refund, or recover a payment, and we are not responsible for losses from a mistyped address, a lost key, or network fees.
Funding and cash-out
Adding funds to your wallet with a card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay, and cashing your earnings out to a bank, are handled by Coinbase, not by Tenjin. Those steps are subject to Coinbase's own User Agreement and Privacy Policy, and Coinbase — not Tenjin — is responsible for processing them, verifying you, and holding or moving the money. Tenjin never holds your funds or your card or bank details; we only pass Coinbase the wallet address, amount, and contact details needed to start the payment. Availability, limits, fees, and supported regions for funding and cash-out are set by Coinbase and may change.
Alpha software, no warranty
Tenjin is in alpha. Features may change or break, and the service is provided "as is" and "as available" with no warranty. To the extent the law allows, Tenjin is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Questions go to hello@tenjin.blog.
