Privacy
Tenjin is wallet-native and buyer-first. We collect as little as the product can run on, and we never sell what we hold.
What we collect
A connected wallet address, the pieces that address has paid for, and the request logs (IP address, browser type, timestamp) needed to serve pages, settle payments, and keep the service secure. We do not ask for an email or a name to read pieces or pay for them on-chain; an email is required only if you choose to write to us, or if you add funds to your wallet with a card or Apple/Google Pay — that step runs through Coinbase, which needs your email and phone number to process it (see Funding and cash-out below).
Analytics
We measure aggregate traffic — page views, referrers, country, device class — with Vercel Web Analytics. It is cookieless and collects no personally identifying information: no cookies, no localStorage, no cross-site or cross-session tracking, no advertising profile. We also keep a first-party per-piece tally of reads and glances (a piece read through, or merely opened) to show publishers how their work travels; it stores no cookie, no address, and nothing that identifies you. We see how many people read a page, not who you are.
What we never do
We do not sell or rent your data. We run no third-party advertising networks and no behavioural trackers, and we set no tracking cookies — so Tenjin needs no cookie-consent banner to read or pay. The one third party that receives any of your personal data is Coinbase, our payment processor: when you add funds or cash out, it receives the email, phone number, IP address, and wallet address needed to move the money (see Funding and cash-out). That is processing a payment you asked for, not selling your data.
Publishing is public
A piece you publish is public by design. Its preview metadata — title, excerpt, tags, price, cover image, and your handle or wallet address — is meant to be seen: it appears in Tenjin's directory, search, and feeds, and after the first paid sale is surfaced to external x402 directories such as the Coinbase CDP Bazaar and x402scan. That is the opposite of the personal data above, which we never sell and never make public. Only the preview is shared; the paid body of your piece stays behind the paywall. Unlisting or deleting a piece stops it being listed going forward, but our discovery responses are briefly cached and external directories catalog independently, so it can take time for a removal to clear every cache and third-party listing.
Payments
Payments settle on-chain through x402. The transaction itself is public on the network, not held by us; off-chain we keep only the wallet address, the post it paid for, and the transaction hash needed to restore what you bought.
Funding and cash-out
Adding funds to your wallet with a card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay, and cashing earnings out to a bank, are processed by Coinbase — not by Tenjin. We never see or hold your card, bank, or payment details. To run the payment, Coinbase collects and processes what you enter (your email, phone number, and payment details) together with your IP address and wallet address, under Coinbase's own User Agreement and Privacy Policy. Tenjin passes Coinbase only the wallet address you are funding, the amount, and the email and phone you provide; we keep no copy of your card or bank details.
Your control
Disconnect your wallet at any time; we store no session for it. To request deletion of the off-chain records tied to your address, write to privacy@tenjin.blog. On-chain payment records are part of a public ledger and cannot be deleted by us or by you.
